Why Chally is Awesome -- The Beginnings of a List
meloukhia:
ouyangdan:
Chally will smooth over things that have gotten heated to a point that you can only cry because you are hurting so much.
Chally says things like “What the pancake?” that are so cute that you can’t help but adopt it into your own lexicon.
Chally has a way with words that will cut to the quick of an issue with a sauciness that leaves you sputtering and wondering what just...
I’m going to start signing correspondence “See you in another life, brotha!” I giggle every time I hear Desmond say it.
In other news, working through the night helped me get back on track with my LOST rewatching.
guess who's at work right now
That’s right! IT’S ME!
In case you’re trying to calculate what time it is here, I’ll just let you know that it’s almost 1 a.m. I’m not even a lawyer or anything like that, yet this is where I’m at. Working away…
I cannot concentrate today to save my life.

And seeing the deadline I have on Thursday, “to save my life” is a considerably lesser exaggeration than it normally would be.
This is bad.
I will try to hold off on all further Lost and Beatles discussion until Friday. =)

Adam & Eve are Bernard & Rose.
See, I was willing to buy this theory at first, even though I didn’t like it. But then I rewatched Season 1. And Jack says, when they encounter Adam and Eve, that they had to be something like 40-50 years old. (And even if Rose and Bernard scurried off to a cave and died right after we last saw them, that’d have only been...

Why is DHARMA still doing food drops if the Others killed them all like 20 years ago, how did the Black Rock end up in the middle of the island, wtf is the “magic box” thing about and how the hell did Locke’s dad get to the island, why did the Others kidnap all those people and what did they do with them (and wtf does “we’re here to watch”...

I’ve been re watching all of my LOST seasons, and have come up with a few key questions i’d like answered. What would you like answered?
- Louise
Impossible to answer in 140 characters …
What is the smoke monster, why/how does the island move, who/what is Jacob, who/what is Esau, is Widmore or Ben (or neither) the good guy, who are the Others, how did DHARMA...

What TV show makes you laugh the loudest?
Reading this question makes me realize that I don’t watch nearly enough comedy. My favorite shows at the moment are Dexter and, of course, LOST! I watch SYTYCD regularly, and I am a sucker for Brothers & Sisters though I don’t mind if I miss an episode. See? No comedy… Weird…

What’s your favourite Beatles song and why?
Ooh fun! This changes regularly depending on my mood and what album I’ve been playing the most. The one that usually comes out on top is A Day in the Life. It’s just pure awesomeness, really.
Ask me anything
So I ended up getting Can’t Buy Me Love and Here, There and Everywhere. Yaaaay I can’t wait to read them! Thanks Cara for your promptness as I stared helplessly at all the books. =)
Quick, Cara, what Beatles book should I read? I need to read one! They’ve got The Beatles by Bob Spitz, Here, There and Everywhere, Shout, etc. The basics. Tell me, tell me!

Unless I’m mistaken, the only people who have, for lack of a better word, overcome Smokie are Locke and Eko. In one of the early episodes, the smoke monster comes towards Locke and though we never see what happens, he says later in the episode something like “I saw inside the island and it was beautiful.” We see Eko’s interaction with it, how it stops for him...

16k Social Media Experts On Twitter!
alexbgreen:
According to Mashable, there are nearly 16k social media experts on Twitter. Yes, you read that right nearly one-thousand and six-hundred people who are ‘experts’ on social media. What’s more, @sallysimply tells me that people are paying upwards of $1k to become a “Social Media Expert.” A sign of the times, yes. A sign that not much has changed as well, yep.
Tis true, folks! I...
Ana Lucia was such a freaking bad ass! I’m watching her first episode right now and I’m like FUCK YEAH! TAKE THAT SAWYER!
I have to imagine that Harold Perrineau must’ve been pissed off that his lines were reduced to shouting “WALT!” and “they took my son” at the top of his lungs all the damn time. We’re upset too, Harold…
Why on earth do I have cramps? Why? I’m so confused… My period is over, I’m sick but that’s got nothing to do with cramps, I haven’t done any crunches or anything…

Don’s having me watch the BSG opening mini-series for the first time ever, as making me watch Babylon 5 was an unmitigated failure.

I shit you not, I have over 50 things in drafts/the queue. Most of which are Daily Tennants. I might have to spend a day doing an hourly Tennant or something, and wouldn’t you love that!
And I have no idea about this tumbarity thing, but mine’s on 127 154 139 points now so I’m all YESSS. Let’s see how high it can go! I just need a few more points to be am in the top 1000 in...

I like Cara a lot. I like reading her posts on Feministe & The Curvature.

LMAO. This is exactly what it’s like. And it’s also awesome.
By the way, that guy was either totally not actually playing Her Majesty on guitar, or was playing it on easy, because that shit is tough and involves a whole lot more button pushing.

Wait, how do I see people’s answers if I have answers enabled? lol
Ok, the first time I took the challenge, I got like 130 or something like that, and then I got 154 I believe. I can’t see the scoreboard for some reason, but whatever. Those 4 stars that come up at the same time before they get to the Cavern Club — what the poop?! How is somebody supposed to click on all of those?!
Also, I think that Cara (currently) having the highest score just...

The first time through I got an IQ of 167.8. The second time, I had a huge improvement … and scored 174.3. lol. There are a few challenging questions in there, but most are relatively easy for big fans. I found the real tough thing to be catching all of the stars and clicking them in time!
I had a harder time clicking on all the damn stars than on actually answering the...
