I didn’t understand the significance of Snape’s last words while reading the book. The scene was sad and all, but I was basically like meh… (actually, I was more like OMG I HAVE TO FINISH THIS BOOK! READ FASTER, EYES, READ FASTER!)
But I read the book in the same room and at the same time as my sister and when we were finally done, we reflected on the last few chapters. She said how sad she thought that scene was, especially his last words and I was all errrrr? She explained, and I proceeded to yell out OMG OMG OMG and start bawling like a baby.
To this day, I can’t talk about Snape’s death, his last words, or what Harry said to his son without getting all teary-eyed. My guy loves this and whenever somebody is talking about HP, he’ll turn to me and say “tell them about Snape! what was it that he said?! what was it that Harry said?! tell them!!!” and then I tell them and I cry and he laughs at me.
