According to Mashable, there are nearly 16k social media experts on Twitter. Yes, you read that right nearly one-thousand and six-hundred people who are ‘experts’ on social media. What’s more, @sallysimply tells me that people are paying upwards of $1k to become a “Social Media Expert.” A sign of the times, yes. A sign that not much has changed as well, yep.
Tis true, folks! I have found a few links to places that give you “social media certification,” whatever the hell that means, from $500-1k. Seriously people?!
