What are some questions you want answered in the final season?
I’ve been re watching all of my LOST seasons, and have come up with a few key questions i’d like answered. What would you like answered?

What is the smoke monster, why/how does the island move, who/what is Jacob, who/what is Esau, is Widmore or Ben (or neither) the good guy, who are the Others, how did DHARMA find the island, where did the numbers come from and are they really cursed (and if so, why?), how old is Alpert, who were “Adam and Eve”, why was the statue there and what happened to it, why do pregnant women die on the island (is it related to the statue?), why is Desmond “special”, wtf were Jacob/Esau talking about in that first scene with the Black Rock arriving, oh, and what the hell was up with Libby, because that shit is driving me up a wall.
I’m sure I forgot a whole bunch, but I think that’s most of the biggies! Feel free to add …

The smoke monster is the island’s soul. Or something… Yeah no I don’t have any idea lol.
I think this is kinda like HP where each person has some good and some bad. I think in the end, somebody else has to “win.”
There’s something about the Others that was always on the tip of my, er, brain. I’m hoping that rewatching the seasons, I can pull together some clues and figure it out. Still rewatching though, so no answer for now. But I think I’m most behind the theory that the Others are actually the original inhabiters of the island. Maybe I’m just weird though…
My wild theory here is connected to the idea that there was a civilization originally on the island. I think that one (or more?) of those people wanted to use the island’s specialness to experiment. DHARMA was created by those people or with the help of those people. So they didn’t necessarily find the island because they were from there all along.
I think Alpert is either as old as the island or ageless lol. That’s my awesome answer.
Adam & Eve are Bernard & Rose.
I think the statue was built by whoever first inhabited the island. I think that it was meant to protect the women and lead to healthy pregnancies and births.
I think when the statue was destroyed, however that happened, the protection was gone and there came the trouble with the pregnancies.
Maybe Desmond is special because he’s a descendant of one of the original inhabitants on the island? Maybe they all have some sort of ability, whether it’s living forever, or having the ability to shapeshift, or becoming black smoke, whatevs.
I think out of all the questions I have (the ones I’ve bolded and some others that I’ll no doubt ask on Tumblr as I rewatch), the numbers one is the biggest one. I really hoped that we’d know before the final season and I was upset that they got pushed aside for so long. Rewatching season 2, I just keep wondering about them. Maybe this is just because I’m such a math nerd…
