Adam & Eve are Bernard & Rose.

See, I was willing to buy this theory at first, even though I didn’t like it. But then I rewatched Season 1. And Jack says, when they encounter Adam and Eve, that they had to be something like 40-50 years old. (And even if Rose and Bernard scurried off to a cave and died right after we last saw them, that’d have only been 30 years.) Granted, Jack in real life most likely wouldn’t know that. But on the show, for some reason, Jack is portrayed as being totally right like all the time. So I’m thinking that when he said that, it was the producers talking. In any case, somewhat interesting article on Adam and Even at Lostpedia. I hope Cuse and Lindeloff are not just messing with us when they indicate that the skeletons may end up serving some kind of crucial role.

I love seeing how our brains work. (LOST is really just a social science experiment to guage audience reactions #truestory)

I always liked the theory that it was them, so I thought 30 years was close enough to 40-50 for it to be them. I figured the writers were just trying to throw us off. What actually got me questioning the theory was when I rewatched and heard Jack say that somebody must have put them there after they died. Hearing that was really the only time I’ve questioned the theory, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s somebody else. The only other thing I thought of was that it was Jack and Kate (because I saw that Jack kept the stones), but I couldn’t figure out why they’d go back in time even further than they are now to explain the 40-50 years thing.
