My wrist tattoo: “True rebels, like true lovers, are few and far between…”
Story to this: I’m a huge Elliott Smith fan, and he changed my life when I was younger. In his “Lucky Three” video, he featured the “lovejoy columns” in Portland. On one of the columns was a quote by the artist, which is what I had tattooed on me. It explains me a lot. I “rebel” against some things, but normally in a good way, which is where the “lover” part comes in. Like, I don’t judge others, I’m open minded, I don’t fit into certain categories of how I’m supposed to live. I just do what’s right and what makes me and those around me happy. And sadly yes, I do think that’s “rebelling” against the norm. Not many live like that. So it’s a mixture of being a “rebel” and a “lover”, and I feel it represents me really well. Anyways. It was my first tattoo, and I love it, so much.
